Blogging is a great way to get your voice heard, bring attention to your brand, and even make some money from it. How, though, can you monetize your blog with an AdSense account? Before you begin your efforts to monetize your blog, it’s essential that you create engaging and compelling content that readers are interested in. Without compelling content, you will not be successful in your monetization efforts and your blog will get lost in the noise of the internet.

If your blog is already successful and you want to learn how to monetize your blog with Google AdSense, follow these simple tips and you could soon be making thousands of dollars a month from your blog posts.

How to Monetize your Blog with Google AdSense

Google AdSense is one of the most popular ad networks around making it easy for you to monetize your blog. With Google AdSense, you make money by displaying ads on your site and there are two ways you can begin to start making money from your blog with Google AdSense.

The first way is based on impressions, which depends on page views. If you’re looking to make money with Google AdSense based on impressions, you will earn a set dollar amount based on the number of page views you receive.

The other way to monetize your blog with Google AdSense is based on clicks. This is regardless of page views allowing you to earn a set amount each time a visitor clicks on an ad featured on your site.

Monetizing your blog with Google AdSense depends greatly on your website traffic and the number of visitors willing to click on ads featured on your site. If you’re looking to monetize your blog with Google AdSense, you can easily create an AdSense account and feature ads on your site, between your posts, in the columns of your blog site, and even show ads from other ad services. Other Ways to Monetize your Blog

Before you can successfully begin to monetize your blog, it’s essential that you build your email list. You can easily entice readers to subscribe to your email list by offering them free gifts when they sign up to receive emails from you. This will help you begin your monetization efforts by keeping your subscription list ‘in the know’ and allowing these subscribers to be the first to receive your new posts.

Having an email list will provide you with subscribers who care about what you have to say and you can even create a separate paid subscription list and offer those subscribers exclusive tips and offers. The best way to organize your email subscriptions list is to implement an email service so you can focus your efforts on producing good content that will keep people subscribed to your blog.

Paid Reviews and Banner Ads

One way you can monetize your blog, especially if your blog generates decent traffic, is through paid review or sponsorship posts and banner ads. When your blog starts to do well and generate traffic, businesses will begin to approach you to sponsor your site. Many businesses send bloggers their products and pay them to write reviews about those products. Businesses also sponsor posts in exchange for a link back to their site allowing you to easily monetize your blog posts.

When businesses sponsor a blog post, though, it’s important to keep in mind that their link back to their site will draw readers away from your site and could cause you to lose some subscribers. Another way to monetize your blog is through banner ads. Businesses pay bloggers monthly to keep their ad on the blog site but again, this could lead readers away from your site and cause you to lose subscribers.

Affiliate Marketing

This performance-based marketing is another way you can monetize your blog. With affiliate marketing, you can include links to a product or service offered through another business’s affiliate program and if one of your visitors clicks on that link and purchases the product or service, you will receive a cut of the cost.

Before you decide to use affiliate marketing to monetize your blog though, keep in mind that it is a good idea to only promote products or services that are relevant to your niche, only promote products or services that you’ve personally used and would recommend, and to always include a disclaimer on your site so you don’t mislead your readers.

It’s essential to understand your audience and to build trust with them. Without trust between you and your audience, your blog will not be successful and any monetization effort you implement will fall flat. Google AdSense is an excellent way to monetize your blog but it’s not the only way. Now that you have a better understanding of some effective ways to monetize your blog, you’re ready to begin earning money for your hard work.
