Amazon Web Services (AWS) has introduced new instant blockchain templates, which are supposed to make it easier for developers to create blockchain-based projects. These templates will allow users to launch public and private networks based on Ethereum that are based on Hyperledger Fabric. This is made possible with “just a few clicks.”
“AWS Blockchain Templates provide a fast and easy way to create and deploy secure blockchain networks using open source frameworks,” the company said in a press release. “Blockchain is a technology that makes it possible to build applications where multiple parties can record transactions without the need for a trusted, central authority to ensure that transactions are verified and secure.”
The essential purpose of the launch is to allow developers to concentrate on building their blockchain-based apps instead of investing time in the setup of the blockchain network. The structure of the frameworks will take place by using certified and well-managed AWS CloudFormation templates. Apparently, users will be able to build their networks “in a matter of minutes.”
“Your blockchain network is created in your own Amazon VPC, allowing you to use your VPC subnets and network Access Control Lists,” the company added. “You can assign granular permissions using AWS IAM to restrict which resources an Amazon ECS cluster or Amazon EC2 instance can access.”
The networks launched with the AWS templates will be based on Ethereum, and it should support Ethereum mining. Along with that, it will provide an EthStats page for monitoring network metrics. Additionally, they will provide an EthExplorer toolkit which would enable the user to explore the transactions and smart contracts entered in the ledger.
Amazon is not charging any additional free to use the templates. Instead, developers can pay only for the AWS resources which are required to run their blockchain network.
“Blockchain is about removing data silos, improving trust, and operational efficiencies,” said Luxoft’s vice president of technology strategy, Vasiliy Suvorov. “By using AWS to deploy and integrate DLTs into day-to-day processes, businesses can revolutionize how they operate.”
